The Annual Free Watermelon Feed, co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee, will be held, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park, 308 West Spring St., Neosho, MO 64850. Historically, we have an attendance of 200.
The program will feature US Congressman Eric Burlison,
MO State Sen. Jill Carter, and MO State Rep. Dirk Deaton.
If the Governor calls a 160th legislative district special election. There will be 3-minute candidate speeches by the qualified Republican candidates for St Representative for the 160th District. The candidates will all be subject to a time-keeper.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge. All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance. The straw quiz will serve as an entry into a drawing for prizes. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed.
In case of rain the event will be held at the Lampo Building 500 E Spring St Neosho MO 64850.
