Annual Free Watermelon Feed

Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 9:08AM This years watermelon feed was a huge success. It had a crowd of 300 people in attendence. Both Statewide and County candidates attended the event and were given three minutes each to address the crowd. Chairman Davd Cole was in attendence as well. State Senator Ron Richard spoke over the amendment 2 that will appear on the August 7, 2012 primary ballot.
The Watermelon Feed was held on Tuesday July 31, 2012 in Neosho’s Big Spring Park at 6:30 pm. It is a joint event hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee. Watermelon and water was provided to the crowd.

Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:10PM The Missouri Republican State Convention was held on June 1-2, at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield, MO. Delegates that were chosen at the county level voted on a slate of 25 at-large delegates and alternates to the National Convention and 2 at-large presidential electors.
